Nancy Farrell

Nancy graduated with an M.S. in Speech Pathology from the University of Wisconsin. After working in several clinical settings, she left this field to pursue her love of art and received her Fine Art Degree from the University of Guelph in 1993. She continued her studies working in sculpture, painting and mixed media.

This award winning artist has always been intrigued with the endless potential of nonobjective painting. Her work is inspired by emotion and mood which she conveys through the use of strong colour and intuitive marks. Each drip, run and tool mark play a role in the outcome, creating a constant flow of problem solving. The process continues until a feeling of balance or resolution is achieved.

Nancy has participated in the Toronto Outdoor Exhibition and Indoor Expos as well as over 90 solo, group and juried shows. Her work can be found in many collections in Europe, the U.S. and Canada.
