Gennady Guirik

 Gennady Guirik was born in 1963 in Kazakhstan, of the former USSR, now Russia. In 1982 he graduated from the School of building and Architecture. Between 1987 and 1992 he studied at the Muchina Academy of Arts and Design in St Petersburg. Since 1990 Guirik has been a member of the renowned artist group "The Pyramid". He is also a member of the Russian Artistic Association.
He describes his work: “The white canvas is so secretive! A face, objects from still life, flowers and birds, architecture, and music; these are motifs enough; you simply need patience. I believe a painter needs to be mentally mobile - like life itself, which breathes and moves.” 

Guirik's works are in private collections throughout Austria, Germany, Poland, Russia, USA, Sweden and Canada
