Sergei Kozyakov was born in 1941 in the small, ancient town of Tver, Russia. It was almost immediately apparent that Sergei would grow up to be an artist. In 1949 he entered a state run Art Academy specifically designed to nurture children who showed talent.
Kozyakov continued his education through the famous Repin Academy of Art Sculpture and Architecture in St. Petersburg. He specialized in nature. His realistic paintings reveal a soft peaceful world of landscapes and still life. He now lives in St. Petersburg, Russia where he remains very active, taking part in many exhibitions both at home and abroad. His work now resides in collections world-wide.
